Foreclosure still has not happened after property was discharged in BK 3 years ago?
This has been a nightmare to deal with. The lender continues to drag their feet in taking back the property that was discharged in Chapter 7 BK in April 2008. I have attempted to short sale for the entire time and lost 3 buyers since SUNTRUST MORTGAGE wants to drag their feet with processing the short sale. They are requesting financials and tax returns which I feel are irrelevant to this situation. Do I have any recourse against the lender? I just want this over with…I am now receiving violation letters from the County and they say I’m responsible until the lender takes the house back. I have also send a complaint to the Attorney General of Florida regarding this.
See if they will accept a deed in lui essentially this will give them the property back and save you from having a foreclosure on your credit. P.S. Deed in lui is deeding the property back to the bank instead of them having to foreclose.
